General Terms & Conditions

General

These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed via email or over the telephone with J. & F.J. Baker & co. Ltd. Please read them carefully before placing any order. All contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms and conditions will be deemed to affect your statutory rights.

Orders

All debit card transactions are subject to validation checks and are authorised by the card issuer. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Delta and Maestro or payment via bank transfer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay and / or non-delivery of your order. No orders will be accepted or processed without a valid card payment in the name of the registered cardholder.

All prices exclude UK VAT at the standard rate. The VAT will be added separately on your form or invoice. Orders shipped outside the EU will automatically exclude VAT, but customers are reminded that they are responsible for any duties or tax payable on entry into their country.

When products are in stock, orders placed Monday – Friday are shipped twice weekly, with the exception of made to order items and those items that are not in stock. If there is a problem we will notify you during this time. Please refer to our Delivery information for shipping methods and pricing details. We will not dispatch items until we have received payment in full, this includes the buyer paying any banking fees oversees transactions may incur.

Returns

Goods may be returned for exchange or refund within 30 days, they must be unused in the original packaging and accompanied by the invoice. ‘Unused’ means not cut, scratched, marked or altered in anyway. If leather has been split to your specification it can not be returned. Please contact us if you wish to return your item.

Return delivery costs for items will not be covered by J. & F.J. Baker & Co. Ltd.

J. & F.J.Baker & Co. Ltd cannot be held responsible for non-receipt of returned goods so please ensure you use Recorded or Special Delivery as appropriate to the value of the goods you are returning.

J. & F.J.Baker & Co. Ltd makes its products in England to a high standard, to last for many years, but if on receipt of your order you believe an item is faulty please contact us within seven days to resolve the issue.

In the event of any goods delivered by us being damaged in transit, or failing to match the items ordered by you, then such details must be notified by you to us within seven working days of receipt. If we receive no such notification, the customer will be deemed to have accepted the items as satisfactory. We cannot be held liable for any consequential loss caused by late delivery or failure to deliver by the company’s appointed carrier.

Products, Prices & Content

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the pictures and colours depicted on the site match as closely as possible those of the actual product due to technical limitations, some colours may vary.

All prices are shown in pound sterling (£) and are exclusive of UK VAT at the current rate unless exempt.

Prices, product descriptions and specifications are checked to the best of our ability, and whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate, no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions.

All information on our web site is updated regularly.

We reserve the right to alter our prices and specifications without notice.
